Mantrailing Training
I am an accredited, certified Mantrailing Instructor
Mantrailing is a fantastic sport that teaches dogs to find a hidden person – I should point out that this is a sport so we are not buddying up with the Police! It is a giant game of hide and seek!
It’s all about using the dogs natural ability to hunt. We teach the dogs and the handlers the ability to find a hidden person in different locations. Its fun, active and uses all parts of the dogs body to get that ‘well worked’ effect from the dog, true exhaustion at its finest!
Mantrailing is suitable for all types of dogs, all breeds, ages and sizes.
Mantrailing also strengthens the bond between dog and handler as it harnessing the dogs natural ability to hunt and search – giving them a structured outlet for them to be able to practise these abilities through teamwork. The dog guiding the handler and the handler supporting the dog.
You will learn to begin to read your dogs ways of showing you when they are drawing in on scent, losing scent and when they are getting closer to the hidden person!
Reactive dogs – no problem, this can easily be accommodated within sessions – be sure to make me aware of your dogs requirements in advance of your booking.
To book your Mantrailing session you will need to read and complete the following:
1. Complete and Submit your Pre-class Assessment form
2. Once you receive Confirmation of Acceptance, next step is to complete the Mantrailing Booking Request form
3. On receipt of the Booking Request, I will contact you to arrange your place on the Course.
